What time is check-in and check-out?
Start to wash your worries away at 4:00 pm when you may begin to check-in to your luxurious island inspired, resort style stateroom or suite. However, you may arrive as early as 1:00 pm to start your tropical fantasy by enjoying the paradise we have to offer. Check out is at 11:00 am. But no need to rush home on your departure day when you can still relax on KeyLime time by hanging out in the waterpark all day!
Is KeyLime Cove a non-smoking property?
Yes, it is. In accordance with the Smoke Free Illinois Act as well as to preserve our family-friendly environment, KeyLime Cove is a completely non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted on balconies or within 15 feet of the building. Violators are subject to fines or eviction.
How old must you be to reserve a room at KeyLime Cove?
Our policy requires an adult of 18 years or older to reserve and check-in to KeyLime Cove. There must be one adult registered and staying in the suite or stateroom. At check-in, a government-issued photo I.D. is required.
Do I have to pay for my two year old to stay and use the waterpark?
Children two years old and younger are free for resort and waterpark use. However, please be sure to mention your Lil' Limer upon check-in. Our Front Desk needs to know how many people are staying in each room for safety purposes.
Do you have any special offers?

Is there an ATM available at the resort?
Yes, we do have an ATM onsite.
Am I allowed to bring my pet?
Unless it’s a service animal, there is no need to bring pets. Gronk, Toukie, Marty, and Ol’ Red will be here to keep you company and you can even make your own friendly pet at Pinki’s Pet Palace.
Is there a work out facility?
We are utilizing all of our space to give our resort guests a vacation experience to remember with a wide variety of amenities. We have partnered with our neighbor, FitNation, which will allow you access to its facility during your stay.
Do you sell day passes for the waterpark?
You do need to be a guest to utilize the waterpark. We do offer great specials online. To view them click promotions.
What is your cancellation/reservation/security deposit policy?
Pre-Deposit/Cancellation Policy: We are a pre-deposit resort. A deposit of the first night stay plus tax is required to guarantee the reservation. A reservation canceled up to 72 hours prior to arrival will have a $35 cancellation fee applied. Cancellation within 72 hours will forfeit the entire amount of the deposit (first night's lodging + tax).
A security deposit of $300 will be taken upon arrival from guests staying in the Captain Dave's Presidential suite.
I heard you are a cashless water resort! Tell me more...
KeyLime Cove is a cashless water resort. At the time of check in, adults will receive a Smart Band® wristband. This will be your room key as well as give you access to common area doors and the waterpark. The wristband also allows you to charge everything back to your room just by a swipe of the wrist. The wristbands can be used for vending machines, token dispensers in the arcade, lockers, restaurants, spa, gift shops, and concessions. You can add funds and check your balances anytime at our kiosks.
What are the hours for Lost Paradise Waterpark?
Enjoy Lost Paradise Waterpark from 10 am to 9 pm Monday-Friday; 9 am to 10 pm Saturday and 9 am to 9 pm Sunday.
Is a traditional swimming pool available to guests?
Play till you drop in Lost Paradise Waterpark with three different pools to serve your needs, a children’s pool, wave pool and an activity pool for volleyball or basketball. Also our partner FitNation just across the parking lot has a pool, which you'll have access to during your stay.
Are locals able to use the waterpark if they are not staying at the resort?
The waterpark is part of the overall vacation experience and is open exclusively for guests that stay with us on property. However, the eateries, retail experiences, arcade and spa are open to everyone and provide a great escape from everyday. Whether you visit to enjoy a mouth-watering sundae at D.W. Anderson's Eatery & Ice Cream Parlor or enjoy a vacation in a glass at The Crazy Toucan Margarita Grille, you'll be looking for excuses to come back. Don't forget to stop by Island Hoppers, Lulu's Swim Shoppe, and Island Temptations for a shipload of beachy-keen gifts, island-inspired fashions, and tropical treats. The kids will adore the fan-TUBE-ulous games, toys, and fun-tivities at Leapin' Lizards and Pinki's Pet Palace. At KeyLime Cove, the fun is never watered down.
What is the age requirement for children to be in the waterpark by themselves?
KeyLimers that are 16 years or older may be in the park by themselves.
Is there a hot tub in the waterpark?
Yes, the KeyLime Grotto is a relaxing whirlpool spa area where you can slip into the warm soothing waters and let your cares melt away. While we have waves of fun for the kids, our hot tub is an adults-only area of the waterpark. Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed in the KeyLime Grotto.
Are towels provided at the waterpark?
No need to B.Y.O.T. (Bring Your Own Towels), we’ll check your stress and your bags at the door. We have thought of everything including complimentary towels in the waterpark
How many waterpark passes come with each room?
Our staterooms and suites include waterpark access, based on the number of guests in the reservation. Additional passes are available; please inquire at time of booking.
Will there be lifeguards on duty?
Lifeguards at your service! Our lifeguards are positioned all over the park to ensure your safety and the safety of your little KeyLimers. Each lifeguard is Starfish Aquatics Institute certified, which means they are trained in lifesaving skills, personal safety, CPR, Aquatic First Aid and emergency procedures.
Can we bring our own food and drink into the waterpark?
Personal food and beverage items are not allowed, we have plenty of tubular choices for your taste buds right here in the resort.
Are there life jackets available to use?
Guests are able to check out life jackets by using their wristband. These are complimentary and are strongly encouraged for children and weak swimmers
Are there locker rooms available at the waterpark?
Yes! You can use your wristband to access a locker in the waterpark. There is a one-time charge for all day use.
Are there any health restrictions to use the waterpark?
It is recommended that people with pre-existing medical conditions and women who are pregnant do not participate in the rides. Each individual is encouraged to evaluate his or her own ability to participate. If you have any concerns, please inform the waterpark safety staff upon arrival. However, there are plenty of comfy chairs surrounding the water and areas to relax and enjoy -- you're on KeyLime time!
Are Goggles allowed to be used in the waterpark?
Yes. Goggles are permitted to be used within the waterpark. Swim flippers and snorkels are not permitted.
What are the height restrictions for the waterpark?
48" Hurricane's Vortex; 48" Body Slides off of Toukie's Tower; 48" Tube Slides off of Toukies' Tower (or 42" while wearing a personal floatation device); 40" (purple and green slides) or 36" (pink and yellow slides) at Toukie's Big Deluge. Lil' Limer's Play Pond: all tot pool slides require that guests are at least 36" tall to ride.
