Captain Dave is the friendly host for your stay, and
the original discoverer of KeyLime Cove. Though KeyLime Cove doesn’t
appear on navigational charts, for years Capt. Dave had heard rumors of
a tropical paradise somewhere Southa' Nowhere. So, starting smack dab
in the middle of nowhere, Dave headed due South and, sure enough, in
the middle of a mysterious ring of fog, he found KeyLime Cove. Some say
he was shipwrecked here, but the truth is he ran his boat aground on
the sparkling white sand intentionally, because he couldn’t see any
reason to leave. A famous folk hero and founder of a wildly popular
chain of BBQ restaurants, Capt. Dave traded in his fortune and the
frustrations of a life as a political appointee for a carefree
existence here. He spends his days riding the splashtacular rides and
his nights concocting mouthwatering new recipes using the exotic fruits
and spices found nearby, along with a pantry full of other fresh robust
ingredients from around the world, flown in twice daily by Mangrove
Jack.
