Scheduled for opening in March 2008, the 414-suite resort project is located between Six Flags Great America and Gurnee Mills Shopping Mall. The resort will appeal to family and leisure travelers with spa services, shopping, dining and a 64,500 sq. ft. indoor tropical-themed waterpark and to meeting planners with 500,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.

Construction has started on KeyLime Cove Water Paradise northeast of I-94 and Grand Avenue. The $135 million project backed by David Anderson, creator of the Famous Dave's Barbeque chain is another entrant in the local waterpark craze. This one is pegged to have a 414-suite resort and space for banquets and weddings. Completion is due in March 2008.
